Farmers in Waterhole, Cayo, receive technical assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise (MAFSE) continues its efforts to help farmers improve agricultural production in the country, MAFSE said in a Facebook post on Friday. In addition to assisting the carrot growers of Corozal today, MAFSE now also assists farmers in the Waterhole region in Cayo.

Extension officer Jesse Madrid and livestock officer Bernadette Cob today provided technical assistance to farmers in Waterhole, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Business (MAFSE) said.

“Some of the activities in which the farmers are involved are the breeding of cattle, the cultivation of tilapia and the production of various vegetables such as tomatoes, cabbages, watermelons as well as roots, taro and cereals,” MAFSE said in an article on Facebook on Friday. .
