Thanks to the Brazos Valley Economic Development Corporation for sharing how a College Station company helped bring two Austin-based companies together to start manufacturing tiny prefab homes in College Station.

nVolve Technologies was hired by Casata Corporation to build 1,000 units to be delivered to Casata rental communities across Texas.

Axle-Box Innovations, based in College Station, helps manufacture nVolve.

Axle-Box founder and CEO Caleb Holt said production would begin in August or September.

nVolve founder and CEO Kari Myllykoski said deliveries will begin in October in a community of Casata in South Austin. This will be followed by delivery to San Marcos and College Station.

Myllykoski says a College Station location has been selected, but cannot be disclosed. He says the permits are in progress.

Holt says “this modular prefab home model” incorporates “technology that we hope (the towns of) Bryan and College Station will have the chance to sit down at the table and have a conversation with and make sure that we can find a way to meet their needs and their codes and restrictions, but also at the same time provide affordable housing for people looking to stay here full time.

Holt says employment at their Centex Poly Solutions subsidiary is 35 with plans to fill another 60 positions.

nVolve, which employs 25 people, will also build micro-hones for another Missouri customer at Lake of the Ozarks.

Joint press release from nVolve Technologies and Casata Corporation:

nVolve Technologies (“nVolve” or the “Company”), a designer and manufacturer of sustainable, modern and high-efficiency building materials, prefabricated assemblies and homes, today announces the formation of a partnership with Casata, the leader in the development of eco-friendly micro-communities. nVolve will manufacture modular homes to Casata’s specifications for unique design parameters for planned micro-communities across Texas and across the United States over the next several years. Casata plans to build more than 1,000 units in the Texas market alone over the next two years.

Casata recently celebrated the grand opening of its first tiny home community in South Austin, TX. Additional Texas communities are planned for San Marcos, College Station, East Austin/Bastrop and Houston. Casata redefines the idea of purposeful living with 400 to 1,000 square foot tiny homes that are modern in design, provide accessible housing, emphasize technology integration and reduce environmental impact . Casata’s vibrant communities offer state-of-the-art amenities, open green spaces, various unique resident events, and a focus on sustainability through low energy and water consumption, electric vehicle charging stations, and appropriate solar power . Casata and nVolve look forward to collaborating on the design and manufacture of these eco-friendly homes.

“We see a bright future for our partnership with nVolve. They have the sustainable materials, construction technologies and mindset to be a strong partner for Casata. Our micro-communities are designed around modern functional living in an amenity-rich, environmentally conscious community. We see nVolve demonstrating the same core values and we look forward to expanding our relationship as they continue to ramp up production at their new facility in College Station, Texas,” said Zain Mahmood, co-founder and director of Casata farm.

NVolve’s College Station factory manufactures both custom structural insulated panels (SIPs) and complete pre-engineered, architectural micro-housings that are deployed on-site for rapid installation. By utilizing advanced and innovative production technologies along with a professional and flexible workforce, nVolve demonstrates its sincere commitment to revolutionizing the micro and modular construction industry.

“Our partnership with CASATA represents a breakthrough for the company,” said nVolve Founder and President Kari Myllykoski. “We have invested over three years working on engineering the optimal methods to build high-efficiency, modern and technologically integrated homes based on our patent-pending FusionSIPTM designs. Our relationship and this agreement with Casata represents an ideal product and added value, and further validates our efforts. Our exclusive FusionSIPTM panel system is perfect for creating smaller, space-optimized spaces that are highly functional and “live” beyond their stated size. We are excited about this opportunity to partner with CASATA and look forward to doing our part to help them achieve their goal of building the first 1,000 tiny homes in Texas and targeted state expansions.

“Our FusionSIP™ panel system is getting measurable traction with homebuilders,” said nVolve CEO Dave Kowert. “To be successful, new construction must be both energy efficient and cost effective to build and maintain. Our panel system and approach to mixing panels and pre-engineered units minimizes the need for on-site subcontractor labor. Together with the Casata development team, we will continue to refine and evolve building efficiency. »

Based in Texas, nVolve designs and manufactures eco-friendly, efficient and modern pre-engineered housing for residential and commercial purposes by leveraging in-house produced FusionSIPTM panel systems that can be assembled on site in less than three weeks by up to three people. NVolve’s highly developed, patent-pending product cycle, from design to manufacturing and delivery, is supported by our network of sales and installation partners. NVolve continues to develop building technology solutions for compact, high-quality homes with the latest technologies, minimal waste and the best total cost of ownership, meeting the changing demands of younger, environmentally conscious buyers.
